Tunisian’s Cynoia plans West African Expansion Following $930,000 Funding Injection

Founded in 2022 by Nasreddine Riahi and Ayoub RabehCynoia aims to simplify and optimise collaboration within companies. Its platform consolidates a comprehensive suite of essential tools, encompassing everything from chat and video conferencing to email and calendar management, document handling, and project management.

By centralising all digital tools and communication channels into one dynamic platform, we aim to optimise your operations and boost your team’s productivity. We’re not just a tool, we’re your enterprise’s success partner that redefines digital collaboration and prioritises human wellbeing,” Riahi told Disrupt Africa.

Enterprises seem to like it. The startup has over 3,000 users across nine countries, and is now planning further expansion after securing funding from investors including United Gulf Financial Services , 216 Capital Ventures, and Bpifrance. Cynoia is targeting growth in West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) markets, with a strategic emphasis on Senegal and Ivory Coast.

Riahi explained how Cynoia differentiates itself from its competitors.

Other available services often fall short of meeting customers’ needs due to several key issues. Firstly, there’s a lack of customisation; their one-size-fits-all solutions can’t be easily tailored to the diverse needs of different businesses,” he said.

“Secondly, Riahi said, many competitors have complex user interfaces that are not user-friendly, leading to a steep learning curve for clients

Also, some competitors’ customer service is not up to par, leading to slow response times and unresolved issues. In contrast, Cynoia is committed to delivering personalised solutions, an intuitive user experience, and responsive customer support to ensure our clients’ needs are not only met but exceeded,” he said.

Cynoia’s integrated collaboration solution combines chat, email, videoconferencing, calendar, documents, and project management all in one place.

Our competitive advantage lies in the efficiency and simplicity of our tool, enabling teams to focus on their objectives without getting lost in multiple applications,” said Riahi.

Now the startup, which provides its services on a B2B SaaS business model, is planning expansion.

Our expansion in Africa and Europe is a priority objective for the upcoming year. We have started business prospection in Senegal and Ivory Coast as our next destination,” said Riahi.
