About Martin
Martin is currently the Managing Director of Opal Oil and Gas Ltd, a sub-surface engineering company that provides services to the oil and gas company in Nigeria.
Prior to working at Opal Martin worked as a Reservoir Engineer with more than 20 years experience in oil and gas industry as well as in the training and development of human resources.
Martin has a background in the fundamental principles of petroleum engineering with specialization in classical reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, production optimization and petroleum economics.
Martin’s Educational Background
Martin obtained his Master’s and Bachelor’s of Engineering degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Univeristy of Port Harcourt, Nigeria
Martin also completed uncertainty studies of some reservoirs at Chevron FDP center, recently in Lagos and consequently was nominated to an Integrated Studies team in Algeria
Martin’s Other Attributes And Key Achievements
At Chevron center, Martin and his team were able to meet and surpass their revenue target for the year 2007. Martin has a strong drive for overall success and completion of project deliverable.
Martin has five technical papers published in international journal of high repute and a book on “Computer Applications in Petroleum Engineering”. Martin was also a visiting Researcher at the IFP school, Paris, France between 2003 and 2005. A program sponsored by TOTAL/NNPC Joint Venture.
