HindSight Ventures & AfriLabs Announces the Launch of AFRISE Challenge 2023
Hindsight Ventures and AfriLabs have partnered with Concordia University to launch the AFRISE Challenge 2023, with a central theme focusing on how youth entrepreneurs can help African economies rise.
The AFRISE Challenge 2023 provides a platform for high-potential African youth and student entrepreneurs to progress in their entrepreneurial journey while also contributing to local and regional economic development through the creation of jobs.
This program is aimed at 18-30-year-old African youths and will be carried out through a structured boot camp and accelerator program, combined with an international exposure program.
Kicking off on the 3rd of March, thirty high-potential founders will be selected for a mentorship and leadership development accelerator program and eventually end with an International Virtual Demo Day, wherein the Top-15 Entrepreneurs present to a group of early-stage venture investors and Entrepreneurship Support Organizations for accessing funding support (grant + equity-based funding).
The selected startups will receive in excess of $600,000 in technology credits from partners such as AWS, Zoho, IBM, Microsoft, Canva, DigitalOcean, FreshWorks and more. Five youth entrepreneurs will also get selected for a 1-Week International Exposure in Montreal with Concordia University.
