SaaS Startup Fudo Secures $7.5M in Seed Funding

Fudo, an Argentina-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup that is streamlining and centralizing processes for restaurants, has raised $7.5 million in its seed funding round co-led by Andreessen Horowitz, Atlantico, and MAYA Capital with participation from Collaborative Fund, Goodwater, Latitud, and a host of angel investors.

Fudo provides a web-based restaurant operating system and point-of-sale software that integrates a restaurant’s operations into a centralized “hub,” as well as taking orders, setting up tables, managing deliveries, seeing purchases, controlling inventory, and receiving detailed analytics on all of this in real time.

Founded in 2014 by Federico Tudela and Juan Manuel Cuello, the company has now grown 10x to support 10,000 restaurants with a team of more than 70 employees in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.

The fund will be invested in expanding the SaaS startup to Mexico, launching operations in Brazil this month and developing more financial products, to enable improved payment processes and support SMEs in the restaurant offering sector.
