African Development Bank donates $2M towards the fight against COVID-19 in Africa

The bank stated that the fund was a grant and that it was donated as a response to the WHO’s international appeal, and that it will be used by the WHO to help make member countries in Africa to quickly prevent, detect, manage, and contain cases on the continent.

The development focused bank said that the fund was just one of the AfDB’s many interventions that they put in place to help member countries on the continent manage the pandemic.
