GetFundedAfrica, VBank and VFD Tech Collaborate to Provide Financial & Innovative Services to African Businesses 

GetFundedAfrica has entered a tripartite agreement with VFD Microfinance Bank Ltd and VFD Tech Ltd to provide financial & innovative services to the African startup ecosystem through technology.

GetFundedAfrica, operates a tech-enabled ecosystem platform, which connects founders with global mentors, coaches, corporates, investors and governments; while VFD Microfinance Bank (MfB) is a financial institution dispensing financial services to small and medium-scale enterprises; and VFD Tech focuses on developing digital business and payment solutions.  

The three companies will pool their collective resources together and leverage their individual strengths to assist businesses on their journeys to grow and scale.   

With this agreement, GetFundedAfrica will incorporate VFD MfB and VFD Tech’s products and services as part of its package to its network of start-ups and SMEs via the GFA Ecosystem Platform 

Additionally, GetFundedAfrica will jointly host programs/events with VFD MfB and its account holders to upscale their businesses; knowledge, growth & leveraging innovation. 

“VFD Bank & VFD Tech have partnered with GFA to provide digital banking solutions to its partners (individuals, SMES & startups). . .to move businesses forward and ensure growth. . . providing affordable credits and banking tools. . . to generate ideas and support innovative businesses in achieving their technical goals across Africa. We will also serve as a technology enabler/partner to SMEs and start-ups on their (GFA) platform.”

VFD has already demonstrated an understanding of the innovative needs of startups, with its participation in the Microsoft Corporate Innovation Enterprise initiative (CIEF), and recently hosted some startups for a strategy session, at the VFD offices. Startups that come into the Microsoft and GetFundedAfrica community, get the opportunity to access commercial opportunities with corporates around the African continent.
