GetFundedAfrica, Ogun State Government Collaborates to Enable 400 African Startups, Establish Technology Ecosystem in Abeokuta

GetFundedAfrica has announced a strategic alliance with the Ogun State Government, Nigeria’s industrial base, to establish a technology ecosystem in Abeokuta and enable 400 African startups.

This partnership will contribute to building a supportive environment between the state government and startups taking an interest in setting up a presence in Abeokuta. These startups will be provided access to Africa’s largest market (Nigeria), as well as a global network of partnerships, funding, mentorships, and other benefits.

GetFundedAfrica is on a mission to help fund Africa’s most promising startups by knitting together the startup ecosystem in Africa and addressing the gaps that startups face when connecting with investors and securing funds needed to grow and scale their businesses.

The state government embraces startups and tech companies, and Ogun State is working to establish and expand the state’s technology, startup, and innovation ecosystem. Entrepreneurship is essential for promoting community growth and development through innovation, creativity, and job creation.

GetFundedAfrica has its Nigerian base in Abeokuta, at the Ogun Tech Hub, which was launched by the state government in 2019 and currently offers over 7000 square meters of office space to 400 tech-enabled startups from Nigeria and beyond Africa.

GetFundedAfrica has also collaborated with the relevant government organizations to streamline processes for visas, health insurance, company registration, licensing, tax registration, and any other assistance required.
