Cape Town-based healthtech Aviro Health has bagged an undisclosed amount of funding in a pre-series A funding round led by ASISA ESD Fund (managed by Edge Growth), Tuksnovation, and TIA.
According to reports, the funding will be used to expand and improve the Aviro Pocket Clinic, a digital counseling service that is available through health providers in both the public and private sectors. In addition, the funding will enable the healthtech company to grow and expand its overall impact both in its HIV self-testing and into new use cases in HIV and a range of other diseases where digital support is needed to help patients in their treatment.
