Michel Weiss grew up in a village in Northern Germany then moved to South America at age 19 to work and raise money for an NGO. Started first e-commerce business during university at age 20 graduated with a diploma in engineering from the University of Southern Denmark. He then started working for a German family investment office from 2016. Started Counder in 2018 together with the family office to focus on venture building activities between Europe and Africa
Moved to South Africa in 2018. In 2020 Counder was founded and it is focusing more on venture capital and matchmaking for impact startups between Europe and Africa. Fascinated by the African continent and its people. Michel has a strong desire to travel to all major startup hubs and meet incredible founders who build African Solutions to Global Challenges
