Egyptian E-health Innovator Rology Achieves Milestone Acquisition of Saudi Firm Arkan United
Rology, a leading teleradiology company in the Middle East and Africa, has successfully acquired Arkan United, a Jeddah-based teleradiology provider, in a strategic move to further enhance its presence in Saudi Arabia.
Founded in October 2017 by Amr AboDraiaa, Moaaz Hossam, Mahmoud Eldefrawy, and Bassam Khallaf, Rology has revolutionized the industry with its cloud-based platform. By leveraging intelligent matchmaking technology, Rology addresses the global shortage of radiologists by connecting patients with remote radiology specialists.
Rology’s innovative platform eliminates setup costs for hospitals and radiologists, allowing practitioners to work remotely from anywhere worldwide, as long as they have a laptop and internet access. In April of last year, Rology successfully concluded a pre-Series A funding round, which positioned the company for expansion throughout the Middle East and Africa. Now, with the acquisition of Arkan United, Rology is strategically expanding its operations into Saudi Arabia—an essential step, considering the country’s vast healthcare sector, which is the largest in the region.
