Egyptain Startup Tays closes Undisclosed Seven-figure Pre-seed Funding

Tays, an Egyptian-based networking startup has recently secured an undisclosed seven-figure pre-seed funding within the country’s circle of startup ecosystem.

The investment fund was raised from several angel investors with some of them planning to join the company’s board.

The Egyptian-based startup provides an end-to-end social networking app that helps professionals get connected based on sharing similar business interests.

Founded by Sherif Bacheet, the investment will aid Tays to commence its operations in Egypt, North Africa as well as other MENA regions.

Tays deploys a unique machine-learning algorithm in matchmaking professionals with respect to their aspirations and interests.

Thus helping people to expand and maintain their network professionally, while still keeping up with their social touch.

Speaking on the new investment, Sherif Bacheet said, “The ongoing pandemic has highlighted how difficult it is to create meaningful professional connections.

With this pre-seed investment, we hope to launch our platform and enable the entire MENA to begin expanding their professional networks at unprecedented rates.”

With the investment comes new executive board members to join the Tays team. Some of them include the Facility and Procurement Director at El Ahly Capital, CEO of Remax Middle East and the Business Development Manager at Google Ireland.
