Tech startup Cridde to open in South Africa

New car tech startup Cridde will launch its innovative new app-based car-sharing platform that aims to disrupt the car rental sector at the end of February 2021.

As a division of Cityride car rental in Johannesburg, Cridde has created an affordable and easy way to rent a car.

According to the car tech startup, hundreds of vehicle options will be available for users at low rental and deposit rates. An instant booking option will be available for users allowing South Africans to easily rent a car.

The app-based car-sharing platform allows users to rent cars from private car owners either for daily or monthly usage. Simplifying the process with a single app, users will be able to rent vehicles seamlessly via the app.

Compared to traditional car rental methods, users are prompted to upload a once-off document verification, making the process of renting a vehicle easy and paperless. The search engine allows users to search for vehicles by city, review listings and book said vehicle.

Keeping in line with contactless measures during Covid-19, Cridde Connect allows renters to book a car, locate and unlock without meeting the owner, offering a 100% contact-free, no-hassle car pick up and drop off.

Ahmed Olabode co-founder of Cridde points out that security is a priority for the startup and car owners and users are all vetted before being able to access the app’s services.
